CHEYENNE’S STORY

On April 29, 2020, she called me at work at 10:30 that morning saying she didn’t feel good…

My daughters story is very similar to your sons. She was 18, a senior in high school wrapping up her school year when Covid hit. She started online classes and spent so much time working on her computer that she ended up sitting for most of her day. On April 29, 2020, she called me at work at 10:30 that morning saying she didn’t feel good and I needed to come home. I lived close and got there within 15 minutes. As soon as I saw her I knew something was wrong. She was struggling to breathe and sweating. I called EMS but she passed out shortly after I arrived and was gone 20 minutes later. It was, is and will always be devastating. I think of all the signs that were there that we should have seen to prevent this awful tragedy, but we just didn’t know enough about blood clots at the time. Thank you for sharing your sons story and raising awareness so maybe other families won’t loose their loved one.
